Student leadership development is the process of involving students in meaningful ways both in and beyond the classroom. It provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents, skills, and interests while continuing to develop new skills. It also gives students more ownership of the programs they attend. Student leadership development is the objective for Solomon Elementary School’s Student Council.
SES’s Student Council assists our PTSO and administration with Student of the Month Assemblies, fundraises for new campus equipment, and collects donations for charities such as Pennies for Patients and The Oahu SPCA. Representatives from each classroom also greet new students with welcome cards and leis to ease the transition to their new school. Students bring new energy and ideas to improve and strengthen our school. Student Council is a meaningful way for students to be to be active participants in their community.
Starting in September, every Wednesday is Solomon Spirit day. Show school spirit by wearing the correct color Solomon shirt on Wednesdays.
On the FIRST Wednesday of the month wear PURPLE!
On the SECOND Wednesday of the month wear RED!
On the THIRD Wednesday of the month wear YELLOW!
If you don’t have a Solomon shirt in that color just wear any shirt in that color to show your spirit!
