Student Conduct - Chapter 19

Please review the student conduct (Chapter 19) document with your child(ren).

CYS/SAC Closed on Friday September 3rd

For your awareness, CYS will be closed this Friday, September 3 for staff training. All patrons have been notified by the CDC, SAC, and Teen Center staff so they all should have made arrangements to get their children to/from school.

A+ Pausing After-School Childcare

The Mililani YMCA operates our A+ after school childcare program. The program currently does not have sufficient numbers of participants to continue and will be needing to pause on 09/01/2021 until at least 15-20 students can be enrolled. The last day of A+ services will be 08/31/2021.

Dear Parents and Guardians, With the new school year well underway, I would like to acknowledge the tremendous work our schools are doing to keep schools open and safe for learning. This letter is to inform you of the processes our schools have implemented to address questions about the safety measures we have in place. As cases increase in the broader community, we are seeing a similar increase in cases in our schools. It is important to note that unlike the spread seen in the community, our data is showing spread has been very limited on campuses. Since July 1st, there have been 833 confirmed staff and student cases across the Department, which comprises more than 200,000 students and employees. In 3 out of 4 cases, the infected individual was not on campus during the infectious period,

Letter from DOE Interim Superintendent

Principal’s Message There are a number of after school options for families that need some ideas. CYS provides before school and after school supervision. The leaders walk to campus in the morning in time for breakfast, and then come to campus and meet the students in the afternoon. Please contact CYS if there is any space available. Another option is A+ run by the Mililani YMCA. Their services are ending on Aug 31, Tuesday until they have enough students that have registered. This will affect some families as they look for options starting this Wed. A+ says they will come back when we have enough students that have registered. The Essentials teachers have created a variety of classes for students. There was overwhelming excitement and students participated in basketball, art, and robotics
