Lion of the Month

Solomon's School Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) approach promotes building a safe and effective school environment where academic and behavioral growth is supported.  Our three guiding principles regarding positive behaviors are the Three R's: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Ready.

The Lion of the Month Program honors those students that possess exemplary behavior and exhibit model character traits. Each month a student is selected from his/her class to be considered for The Lion of the Month. Then, each Grade-Level teacher will decide out of the nominees per grade which student will earn the award for demonstrating behavior that promotes and follows the school's Three R's: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be ready.

Once the student is nominated they will receive a Perfect Attendance Yard Sign for their achievement of Perfect Attendance (approved by IPC). The student and their family will be able to keep a sign and do as they wish with it. This is our way of showing we appreciate our students who show exemplary behavior!
