Title 1

Title I
Solomon Elementary is a Title I school. We receive additional funding from the US Dept. of Education to support student achievement for all students. We qualify for this funding because of the high number of students who meet the criteria for free or reduced lunch prices.

Purpose
The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at minimum, proficiency on the challenging state academic standards.

How Solomon Uses Title I Funds
We provide professional development for teachers as well as workshops for parents.  We purchase materials for our core reading/math curriculum and materials to enhance the Common Core State Standards.

How Parents Can Become Involved at Solomon
  • Attend monthly School Community Council (SCC) meetings where you can contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of our Title I program and our school's Academic and Financial Plan
  • Join the PTO
  • Visit the PCNC office (adjacent to the front office) to find out how you can volunteer and help at the school
