On Saturday, December 16, 2017, 33 Solomon students in grades 3-5 participated in an AVID Marine Debris Clean-up sponsored by the Kokua Foundation at Malaekahana Beach Park. Solomon students worked together with students from Wahiawa Middle School and Wheeler Elementary School to clear the beach of more than 300 pounds of marine debris. The Kokua Foundation also taught our students about the importance of living a plastic-free life in order to reduce the amount of waste in our environment.
Thank you to the students and teachers who participated, represented Solomon, and dedicated a Saturday to community service! Go Lions!
