Unruly Splats - Students Get Moving with STEM Education (Star-Advertiser News Article)

First grade students in Mrs. Zukeran's class, supported by MakerSpace teacher, Ms. Tateyama, exert a lot of energy using the Unruly Splats application and equipment. Games are coded for students to physically respond to the colors, lights and sounds of the Splats. Here they play Red Light, Green Light and Whack-A-Mole. During Dr. Seuss week, several guest readers came by to read to our students. Thank you to CPT Rhoten and his unit, along with Ms. Diwa, Mr. Boychuk and Mr. Swan for taking time out of your busy day to put smiles on our students' faces! Follow this post to see more photos.

Mahalo to Mrs. Milley

Mahalo to Mrs. Milley, wife of the chairman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff for visiting our school. She chatted with our Student Council and visited some of our classrooms.

Our Hale Halawai Volunteers

Many thanks to our Army and community partners who are helping to build our Hale Halawai. The trees for our hale were delivered by our Army partners on Thursday. Teachers came out to learn how to strip the bark from the trees on Friday, under the direction of our PCNC Coordinator, Keith Boychuk. If you would like to join us in this project, we will be bark stripping on Saturday 2/27 from 9:00am - 12:00pm. More photos are linked to this article.
