25th Infantry Band Visits Our School

The 25th Infantry Makani Wing Quintet and Mauka Brass Quintet performed for our fourth and fifth graders. Students and teachers were treated to popular songs, stories and music lessons. Mahalo to our Army professionals!

Unruly Splats - Students Get Moving with STEM Education (Star-Advertiser News Article)

First grade students in Mrs. Zukeran's class, supported by MakerSpace teacher, Ms. Tateyama, exert a lot of energy using the Unruly Splats application and equipment. Games are coded for students to physically respond to the colors, lights and sounds of the Splats. Here they play Red Light, Green Light and Whack-A-Mole. Solomon Elementary School COVID-19 Travel Criteria

Due to the need for unprecedented precautions, Solomon Elementary School (SES) will adhere to the Department of
Health, Department of Transportation and Department of Education guidelines for students who are traveling out of the
state for any reason. We understand that the criteria may affect child care, however we are committed to maintaining
the safety of all students and adults by requiring all students with COVID-like symptoms to remain home until they meet

Ohana Help Desk

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (HIDOE) launched the nation’s first statewide, comprehensive help desk providing technology support to public school students and their parents as schools offer more opportunities for online and blended learning.

The ʻOhana Help Desk will provide self-service and chat support for families experiencing issues connecting to HIDOE systems remotely from home. The help desk will be able to assist with connectivity-related issues (e.g. network and wifi connectivity), access and security issues, device support (e.g. devices, applications, software updates) and general IT support. The Parent Line

The Parent Line is a free statewide confidential telephone line. This site provides resources on child behavior, child development, parenting, caregiver support, and community links. They have a phone line staff that will help problem-solve parenting challenges and child and adolescent behavior.
