Student Success Coach

Aloha! My name is Ms. Uyehara (Ms. U) and I am a Student Success Coach for Kindergarten and 1st grade.  I was born and raised here on Oahu, and went to college in California.  I received my bachelor's degree (Liberal Studies with minors in English and History) from Azusa Pacific University and my Master's degree (Masters of Education in Teaching) from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  This is my first year at Solomon Elementary School, but my thirteenth year in education.  I taught 2nd grade for five years, 3rd grade for five years, and this is my third year being a Student Success Coach.  I enjoy reading, watching big monster movies (Jurassic Park/World series, Godzilla, etc), and going to Disneyland.  I love giraffes, the color blue, and the San Francisco Giants.  I look forward to partnering with you this year to support your child!
