Attention Schofield Barracks Residents and Personnel,
Please be advised of a scheduled power outage planned for the Menoher Substation to enhance our electrical grid's resilience.
This outage is critical for enabling essential repairs and upgrades.
Details of the Outage:
- What: Menoher Substation Power Outage
- When: Friday, June 21, 2024, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Who and Where: Schofield Barracks
- Why: This outage allows for necessary repairs at Castner Substation and the integration of a backup power source, enhancing the reliability of our electrical service.
Affected Areas:
- Island Palm Communities: Kalakaua/Solomon,
Porter/Moyer, Santa Fe/Kaena Communities.
- DFMWR Services: Including but not limited to Parent
Central Services, (Family Childcare, School Liaison
Services, SKIES) Child Development Centers (Bowen,
Peterson, Schofield), Schofield SAC, Bennet YAC,
Leisure Travel Services, Richardson Pool, and Outdoor
Recreation Center.
- Work Areas / Units: Area X-Ray, 2IBCT, 3IBCT, 25ID
ACE, 25ID Sustainment BDE, 524th DSB, 65th BEB, 71
st CHEM, 8th MP BDE & sub.
- Units: 84th EN BN, SIM Center, USAF Combat Arms
Range, IPC North Region Maintenance Warehouse.
