Letter to Our Families From Principal Omalza

Dear Solomon Parents and Guardians,

Well, you parents have asked for it and we delivered! We have, as of this date, loaned out over 100 Chrome Books to our families. You let us know, through your teacher, that you needed more devices because there were so many members of your family who needed to work remotely, throughout the day! So if you are finding it difficult to have enough time on devices, let your teacher know you need an extra one! We will be notifying all families how to return these devices! Mahalo!

On Friday, Dr. Kishimoto, HIDOE Superintendent, shared on the news that school is now closed through the remainder of the year; due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We are now preparing for an “end of the school year exit strategy” to create an easy close to the school year that keeps all of us safe and healthy. Be on the lookout for that as we get into May.

I have been informed that some of you may be PCSing as early as mid May. If you will be leaving us soon please contact your child’s teacher with that info and they will share with admin/office! We will then process and create a safe method for you to close out for the year and transfer to your new school!

We continue to work with and respond to all of our students/families. If there is ANYTHING we can do please contact your teacher and we will get the right person to assist you!

Please be safe, be kind, and be responsible!! Mahalo!!
