A Week Of Code

Third grade students in A14 practice computer science skills in their classroom. Teachers from around the world are encouraged to teach an hour of code during the week of December 4-8. See a few more pictures on this link.

Spelling Bee Winners

Tavon Washington and Cohen Cross are Solomon's fourth and fifth grade Spelling Bee champions. Tavon took the overall title in a very competitive battle for the championship. Both boys deserve kudos for their confidence and perseverance. Good luck to them as they continue to study for the district competition at Mililani Middle School.

Solomon Spelling Bee

On November 29th, Solomon held its annual Spelling Bee in our school cafeteria. Participants from fourth and fifth grades competed for the coveted title of Spelling Bee champion. Cohen Cross is the fifth grade winner while Tavon Washington is the fourth grade winner. All participants received a certificate and goodie bag. Congratulations to all our wonderful student contestants!

A special thank you to Mrs. Amy Denzer who coordinated the event. She will be coaching the winners as they move onto the district competition at Mililani Middle School.

Aina In Schools

We have been partnering with Kokua Hawaii foundation to bring the Aina In Schools program to Solomon. The program is being piloted with our first and fourth grade classrooms. They will be receiving eight standards based gardening lessons throughout the year. We appreciate our amazing parent volunteers who have been supporting this program. Wahiawa Lions Annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony

Please come and support our Solomon JPOs as they march to represent our school at this fantastic community event to honor our veterans! It will be held on Saturday, November 11 at 10:00. The parade begins at Ka'ala Elementary School and ends at the Wahiawa District Park. We hope to see you there!
