Groundbreaking for New School Facility

State and federal officials were on campus on July 6, 2017 for school construction project groundbreaking.

1SG Samuel K. Solomon Elementary School is honored to have been selected by the federal government, in partnership with the State of Hawaii, to receive funds to construct a new state-of-the-art school facility. This award will result in the complete replacement of the current school buildings and technologies that date back to 1968. Purple Up Day for the Month of the Military Child

Solomon celebrated our military children on "Purple Up" day. Purple pinwheels were placed along our school fence. Parents joined their children for a picnic lunch. All were happy that the rained let up for this special day. Click on this link for more family pictures.

Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) Celebration Assembly

Students and teachers from grades 3-5 celebrated their completion of the SBA. The celebration culminated in a drawing for prizes. Students were awarded Lion Loot entry forms during the testing period for coming to school on time, being prepared for the test, eating a healthy breakfast, sleeping well, checking their work and staying focused.
