After reading the Story of the Week, fill out this reading response!

Please include an OPENING sentence, 3 things YOU would do, or ideas YOU would have if YOU were president, and then a closing sentence.

You can start today but these aren't due until Valentine's Day on Sunday! Please write a sweet note to each student in your class (at least the kids in the same group as you). Since we can't enjoy passing out goodies this year, I thought THIS would be a fun way to celebrate. There are click and drag hearts and pictures you can add to your personalized messages. PLEASE DO NOT ERASE ANY ONE ELSES MESSAGES! We are ALL working on the SAME document. Thank you and HAVE FUN! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Whatever you don't finish today can be finished tomorrow in class.

Make sure to include at least 5 things that are DIFFERENT about each character and then in the part of the bubble that connects, make sure to include at east 5 things that are the SAME about the characters.

Last week only 1 student logged in and completed their Brainpop work. Please make sure to complete your work while you are at home. I'm attaching the link today. Normally you can access Brainpop by logging into your Clever account and instead of clicking in iReady, click in Brainpop. Please make sure to keep up with your at home work so that the in class work makes sense! Thanks!

We learned these new words- Polygon, Quadrilateral, and closed shapes! This is the lesson pages we were NOT able to do in class. We will be doing them tomorrow so here is a head start for you to practice at home before tomorrow. I've posted the page with the lesson so you can review what these words mean! Try your best and we'll review tomorrow in class.

Think of as many describing words or words that are related to each season. Don't get frustrated! You can do it! Then write the acrostic poem on the next page. I can't wait to read them!

Imagine. Actually imagine being a reindeer....Santa's reindeer! How would you feel? What would you do? What do you enjoy doing? What do you not like about it? There's so much you could write about. Remember to organize your thoughts before you start writing. If you have someone that can help correct your work for you, GREAT! Then type it out and don't forget your selfie!

Take your time. Do your BEST writing. Writing assignments should take about 30 minutes if you are brainstorming ideas, then writing them, then editing and fixing. Make sure to add your picture too!

This is our first time doing this. All you need to do is respond to the question (with a 2nd grade answer) after reading the story.

Writing prompts have a specific way to answer. Every prompt answer should include-
1. An opening sentence (usually restates the prompt)
2. 3 details/reasons/etc.
3. A closing sentence

Please take time while thinking about how you feel. Remember, some days we feel happy and excellent and other days we might feel sad, frustrated, or even upset. It's ok! We all feel different emotions on different days.
